about how much do gut strings for violins cost and for those of you who have tried them, hows the tone quality
They are really expensive (about £50 a string) and probably not worth it as although the tone is good for some pieces, it isn't very loud....you should also check if your violin can take them...mine does, but newer ones sometimes don't!
Anyway, it is CAT'S gut......my mum won't allow me them , she say's it's cruel to animals......
