handmade violin questions?
why does the middle of a andmade violin turn darker when plaed a lot, why not factory made ones? also, mine has some sticky stuff between the fingerboard and the bridge(supposedely rosin) that doesnt come off with a cloth or polish. wat shud i do with it?
the darkness is because the varnishes react with rosin and finger oils. Rosin is difficult to remove from violin finishes without damage the best thing to do is to clean your violin carefully every time you finish playing to prevent rosin from sticking.
